Niaouli essential oil comes from an evergreen tree with a flexible trunk, spongy bark, and pointed leaves with spikes of sessile flowers. It has a sweet, fresh, camphoraceous smell. Niaouli is a relative of Tea Tree but smells more like Eucalyptus. This Niaouli oil is considered a Tea Tree substitute and it is softer and sweeter than Tea Tree.
